Activities & Events The Shire of Granite Mountain is a very active Shire. We have workshops every week, Fighter practices every week, Archery practices at least once a month and periodic special workshops. We also present demonstrations for Schools, Civic Groups and at local public events. Locally, we participate in Parades, Festivals, and we hold "Picnics in the Park" where we can show the community just how much fun it is to live in earlier times if only for a few hours. If you like to travel, there are myriad events literally world-wide that you may choose to attend. You can even suit up and fight in armour inside a Castle in England, Scotland or Germany. Check our Photo Album to see what a great time looks like in the age of Chivalry. The Shire sponsors several events every year, each with a slightly different focus and flavor,
including usually at least one event per year that we host for the Kingdom of Atenveldt (the SCA
Kingdom to which we belong).
