Championship competitions of the day will include tournaments in Hard Suit, as well as an Archery tournament, and 3 Arts & Sciences competitions. The youth will be complementing their counterparts in competition of Archery as well as A&S entries of their own. We invite all local and visiting artisans to enter our open category A&S Champion competition to be determined by populous vote (please obtain your voting token at troll). Also, be sure to enter into the fun of our Arts and Sciences "Champions Challenge". This year our current adult A&S champion has chosen his challenge for adults to be Armor. Our current youth A&S champion has chosen her challenge for the youth to be chain mail jewelry. Back in November our Arts and Sciences officer issued a challenge to the Shire populace for a wood-carving contest. She is asking for everyone who wishes to participate in this challenge to bring your entries for display and judging. If you do not have anything to carve and wish to enter this challenge please contact Lady Annalena and she will be happy to give you a wooden lucet to carve (while supplies last). Heavy fighters are asked to test your skill in our Hard Suit Champions tournament. Archers it is true, we will be having an Archery Championship tournament this year, so be sure to pack your bow! We will have games available during the day for your pleasure such as Kub and Bocce, as well as board games of several types. In the evening after feast and tournament there will be bardic, drumming, dancing, and merriment around the campfire. Please come and join us as we display our talents and discover who will carry the banners of Champion for the upcoming year of the Society! All tournament entrants are welcome so bring your family and friends to celebrate with our Shire Family at our first and hopefully annual Champions in the Pines event.

 The Shire of Granite Mountain has a long reputation for feeding our guests and this event will be no exception. Saturday Evening there will be a Champions Feast for all to enjoy. The feast will consist of: Roasted Chicken, green garden salad, Coleslaw, and Potato Salad. Any of the populace wishing to donate a dessert for feast is Highly encouraged!  Wake up Sunday morning famished, not to worry! A pancake breakfast will be available for a reasonable donation in the great hall Sunday at 8 am as a Shire fundraiser (as long as they last).
